linscp's Commander layout: local files on the left, the server on the right.

What it does

Everything you expect from a file transfer client

Protocols

Five protocols, one window

SFTP, SCP, FTP with TLS, WebDAV and Amazon S3 compatible storage.

Layouts

Two panels or one

Commander shows local and remote side by side. Explorer shows just the server, with a folder tree.

Sync

Keep folders in step

Compare a local and a remote folder, preview the differences, then apply them in either direction.

Edit

Edit files in place

Open a remote file in the built-in editor or your own; linscp uploads it every time you save.

Automate

Script everything

linscp-cli runs the same transfers from a terminal, a script file or a cron job.

Security

Keys and host checks

SSH key login, host key checks, TLS certificates and an optional master password for saved passwords.

About the project

One file manager for Linux and Windows.

linscp brings a dependable two-panel file transfer client to Linux as a first-class program, and keeps it identical on Windows, all from one codebase. It is free software under the GPL, developed in the open by Eduardo Correia and shaped by the people who use it: every bug report, translation and sponsorship moves it forward.

linscp's transfer engine comes from the WinSCP project, with thanks. Credits
