commands
call
Run a shell command or raw protocol command on the server.
Syntax
Section titled “Syntax”call <command>With SFTP and SCP, call runs <command> in a shell on the server and
prints what it writes. If the current connection cannot run commands,
linscp opens a second shell session for it with the same login.
With FTP, call sends <command> to the server as it is, for example a
SITE command.
The command runs without a terminal, so it must not wait for input. Use
checksum or chmod where they fit; they
work without a shell.
